Amazon Tablets for Pediatric Patients

In July 2018 we received a request from a Child Life Coordinator at St. Peters University Hospital for tablets. I was excited to get a specific request but I was unsure why they were in need of them. The Child Life team went on to explain that tablets are used as a distraction for the patients while they undergo painful, scary or uncomfortable tests, procedures, port accessing, stitches etc. The children can watch movies, tv shows and play games all while the nurses and doctors do their work. The tablets will be passed around to the pediatric patients as needed. Through the amazing generosity of our Friends of JJ supporters we are able to donate 16 tablets, kid proof cases and screen protectors to St. Peters as well as St. Josephs University Medical Center. These tablets will be put to good use helping the patients feel more comfortable. Just another way Friends of JJ can bring smiles to pediatric patients! Thank you to all who donated!
