Special Donation Request

Last month a local hospital called upon Friends of JJ for a truly life altering request. The family of a child being treated at their hospital became unexpectedly homeless. The family was living in a rental unit that was infested and unsafe. The family was admitted to the hospital for carbon monoxide poisoning as their own child was in the pediatric hospital for treatment. Once the family was cleared to be released from the hospital they had no place to go. They needed to stay close by until their child was done with their treatment. We immediately went into action when called upon. We set the family up to stay at a local hotel for 8 nights with daily breakfast included. This way the family could sleep safely, have a hot meal and be near by their child in the hospital. We are only able to quickly make these decisions and help these families because of the support we receive from our generous donors.
